Amazing Squash Casserole Recipe
This delicious squash casserole is a perfect fall recipe that is loaded with flavor! Although we typically eat it as a main dish, it also serves as a perfect side dish for thanksgiving dinner!
- 1 bag frozen Pictsweet farms seasoning blend ((usually found in the frozen vegetables section))
- 1 can Rotel
- 1 package sausage of your choice ((diced))
- 6 diced squash
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp all purpose seasoning
- 1 can cream of mushroom
- 8 slices American cheese
- 1/2 sleeve saltine crackers ((crushed))
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup shredded cheddar
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

In a large skillet on medium heat, begin cooking down frozen seasoning blend, can of Rotel & squash.

Add diced sausage to skillet & continue browning.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Once sausage is browned and veggies are translucent, simmer on low-medium heat for 25 minutes. Stir frequently.

Pour contents of pan into a 9"x13" glass casserole dish.

Place slices of American cheese on top of the mixture and allow to melt for a couple minutes.

Once cheese begins to melt, add in the can of cream of mushroom and crushed saltine crackers.

Stir until contents are mixed.*

Top with shredded cheese, parmesan cheese & bread crumbs.

Place in the oven for 15 minutes at 350 degrees F.

Serve & enjoy!
*May add rice if desired.
