Black & White Party Food Board
Ingredients
- 1 brick cheddar jack cheese (I sliced half of the block, and cubed the remainder)
- 1 package fresh black olives
- 1 box Club crackers
- 1 package fresh blackberries
- 1 bag of Yogurt covered pretzels (I like Flipz brand)
- 1 bag of Hershey's Hugs candy
- 1 package of mini Hershey's bars
- 1 bag of white cheddar popcorn
- 1 package Oreos
- 1-2 packages of mini brownies (usually found in the bakery section and I usually make sure I have plenty of these because they get eaten so quickly)
- 1 tub of vanilla icing
- 1 bag of mini Oreos
- 1 package wooden toothpicks
Instructions
- Find a large board or tray in your home. It could be a large serving platter, a large cutting board (my favorite) or a large party platter.
- Gather 2 smaller dishes and fill with the blackberries and black olives. I try to get dishes that are all the same color, but feel free to be creative when designing your board.
- Construct the cheese and olive bites by pushing the toothpick through the olive then the cheese cube.
- Display them on your board either standing up, or lying down.
- Next, place the Oreos on your board either in lines or stacks.
- Put the Club crackers in a long line, or in stacks, and place the slices of cheese next to the Club crackers.
- Next, make the icing topped brownie cups by squeezing a round layer of icing on top of each brownie and topping with a mini Oreo. You can check out this post for more information on how to make these)
- Display these on your board in a group, a line, or in two separate places on your board.
- Next, unwrap about 20-25 Hugs Hershey kisses and place them in a group on your board.
- Unwrap your mini Hershey bars and place them lined up on the board. I like to place these in a circular motion close to one of my dishes with the fruit or olives in them.
- Next, place the yogurt covered pretzels on your board.
- Lastly, I use the white cheddar popcorn to fill any open pieces left on my board.
- Enjoy!
Notes:
I love using the OXO decorator kit to make the brownie cups. It's quick and easy to use, and an added bonus is that I run mine through the top shelf of the dishwasher after which makes for an easy clean up!
I like to have any extras close at hand so I can refresh and refill the board a couple times throughout the party.
