Instead of a baby moon, we decided to go on a beach vacation to Pensacola, FL with some friends before our baby arrived. One evening, right before sunset, we headed out to the beach with a couple of outfit changes, where my friends so kindly used their camera to snap some maternity shots of us!
Tip for the expecting mother: I wore a black bra and black bathing suit bottoms so I could easily change at the beach without having to find a restroom. Not many people were out on the beach that evening, but it just appeared I had a bathing suit on underneath.
I chose to wear a short black body con maternity dress, as well as a long black maternity dress. Both dresses were budget friendly and found on Amazon. Black is always my favorite color of clothing to wear because of it's slimming characteristics. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure I wore black just about every day of my late pregnancy! Are you interested in shopping for either of these dresses?Short Ruched Maternity Bodycon Dress (Available in various colors, I chose black.)Women's Long Maxi Casual Cotton Beach Dress(Available in various colors, I chose black - this dress was not maternity, but I just got a bigger size and wore it throughout my pregnancy.)Women's Sleeveless Maternity Maxi Dress(I did not choose to wear this dress for my pictures, but wanted to give an option for expectant mother's that may not want slits up the sides of their dress. Available in many different colors.)TIP: The third dress I used was a tight fitting gray floor length cotton dress. I was only pleased with this outfit in the pictures where I was distanced away from the camera. The up close pictures in the gray dress showed every nook and cranny of my pregnant body! I would not use this dress if I could take these pictures all over again.
TIP: You could also bring along a bright sun hat for a pop of color in some of your photos. My husband's bright green shorts made a perfect pop of color for our pictures.Read more resources on beach photography tips here! What's your favorite maternity shot from your pregnancy?I would love for you to share it in the comments below!Join The Berry Basics on Pinterest and Facebook, or via email at theberrybasics@gmail.comRelated posts you'll love:Dad & Baby Nursery Photo ShootDIY Whale Themed Bib Holder5 Easy Kid's Bathroom Organization Tips
