Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe

Simple to follow recipe for delicious stuffed mushrooms. Makes for a great appetizer or side item! This stuffed mushrooms recipe can be made in a convectional oven, or a toaster oven. These stuffed mushrooms pair well with almost anything!

Stuffed mushrooms recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 small package Baby Bella mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 cup cheddar jack shredded cheese (set 1/4 cup of cheese aside for topping)
  • 1/4 cup bacon bits (optional: add some kick with Hormel's jalapeño bacon bits)
  • 1 tsp minced garlic or garlic powder
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped jalapeno peppers

Instructions:

  1. Preheat convectional oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a medium size bowl, combine cream cheese, green onion, 3/4 cup shredded cheese, bacon bits and minced garlic. Add jalapeños as well if you chose this option.
  3. Gently remove stems from mushrooms.
  4. Using a spoon, fill inside of mushrooms with combined cream cheese mixture. (You can put as much or as little filling as you'd like in each mushroom)
  5. Top with remaining 1/4 cup of cheddar jack shredded cheese.
  6. Bake until tops are golden brown.
  7. For convectional oven, bake for 18 minutes then broil on high for 2 minutes, or until tops are golden brown.For toaster oven, bake for 30 minutes, or until tops are golden brown.
